Technomed Opens World of Medical Devices, Technology to Students
Recognizing that the future of healthcare and medical devices depends on the brilliant minds coming into the fields, Technomed Europe, purveyor of Neurosign® intraoperative nerve monitoring products, will be at the Clinical Career Event of S.K.V.T. Variscopic at the Technical University of Delft Friday, March 31.
The career expo event follows Technomed’s attendance in early March at the Wervingsdagen at the Technical University of Eindhoven, the largest technical career expo event in the Netherlands.
“We live in a dynamic period when advances in medical devices and technology occur on a regular basis. Introducing this world to students showcases both the possibilities that await them after university and the impact they can have for patient care and the practice of medicine,” says Jefte Erens, corporate director for talent & strategy for Technomed and its parent company, Welcony.
Technomed Europe is a leader in the design and manufacturing of medical devices for clinical neurophysiology and intraoperative nerve monitoring. Used for electro diagnostics, Technomed’s stimulating probes, electrodes, and stimulating instruments help clinicians and surgeons monitor the nerve integrity to preserve motor skills function.
Marketed under the brands Neurosign and Technomed, Technomed Europe’s products are used worldwide for a variety of clinical and surgical procedures, form nerve conduction studies to spinal and head-and-neck procedures.
Additionally, Technomed leverages its expertise in medical device design and manufacturing to make custom products for medical companies worldwide.
“It takes a team of diverse experts, from biomedical engineering to regulatory affairs and marketing, to bring products to market, but they all share the same passion of aiding providers with reliable and quality products to serve patients and enable them to live as full a life as possible,” Erens says.
Attending the career expo will be product development engineers from Technomed’s research and development team as well as marketing.
As part of Welcony, Technomed Europe is complemented in its neuro diagnostic work by sister companies Magstim and Magstim EGI. Magstim technologies support thousands of research labs, clinics, hospitals, and universities that focus on mental health, brain disorders, cognitive neuroscience and neuromonitoring. Welcony is backed by Telegraph Hill Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity company.
